Roll Bar Brackets
Our roll bar brackets deliver quick-release performance in a secure clamping design for roll bars from 1-1/2" to 2-1/4" in diameter. Choose the precision-machined ProLock for a clean, secure fit or the MIL-STD-810G-rated Extreme Duty for the most demanding off-road and racing applications.
Q&A
The Extreme Duty bracket features a pull-pin design that is both secure and allows quick disengagement while minimizing the risk of accidental release. This design has earned acceptance for use in the NHRA Championship Drag Racing Series. The ProLock bracket uses a unique lever-action locking/release mechanism that is easier to actuate in tight spaces than pull-pin designs, providing an exceptionally secure, rattle-free mounting solution for demanding vehicle applications. While the Extreme Duty is only available in the most popular 1-5/8" and 1-3/4" sizes, the ProLock is available for roll bars from 1-1/2" to 2-1/4" in diameter.
While it might look like plastic at first glance, it is actually made of fiberglass-reinforced nylon, a high-strength composite used in automotive, military, and aerospace applications. It is engineered to handle inertia forces exceeding 27G in all directions, making it more than capable of handling the shock loads found in serious off-road and racing conditions.
The best way to measure your roll bar is using digital calipers on a cross section of the tubing. While it is also possible to calculate the diameter from a circumference measurement using a tape measure, this method may introduce rounding errors. For the most accurate fit, we highly recommend using calipers.
We advise against it. Using a bracket that is larger than your tubing is not practical, as only a professionally machined metal shim with dual collars would provide a secure fit given the weight of the fire extinguisher assembly. A bracket that is too small, on the other hand, would create too much gap between the clamps and place excessive strain on the fasteners. Also worth noting: metric tubing sourced from overseas commonly falls between SAE standard sizes, which can prevent our brackets from fitting correctly. If your roll cage uses imported metric tubing, a seat mount or other alternative may be a better fit.
