Off-Road Extinguishers & Brackets
Off-road adventures push people and equipment to the limit, and fire safety should be no exception. Our HalGuard PRO clean agent extinguishers protect your engine and electronics without leaving behind damaging residue, while MaxOut dry chemical extinguishers are ideal for the cargo area, covering cooking fires and other hazards at camp.
Q&A
HalGuard PRO uses a clean agent that extinguishes fires without leaving behind corrosive residue, making it ideal for protecting your engine bay and electronics. Unlike dry chemical extinguishers, it won't damage wiring, sensors, or other components, which is especially important when you're miles from the nearest service center.
Our Extreme Duty bracket is purpose-built for off-road and racing applications, engineered to withstand inertia forces exceeding 27G and designed to meet MIL-STD-810G standards. If you need a wider range of roll bar sizes or prefer a lever-action release, the ProLock is also a great fit for demanding off-road use.
Many off-road enthusiasts choose to run two extinguishers. A HalGuard PRO mounted in the cabin puts a clean agent extinguisher within reach for engine and electrical fires, while a MaxOut in the cargo area covers cooking fires, camp stoves, and other hazards you might encounter on the trail. Having both means you are covered no matter where a fire starts.
Yes. We offer a dedicated Ford Fire Extinguisher Seat Mount for 2018 and newer F-150s, including the Raptor, and both a roll bar mount and tailgate mount for the sixth-generation Ford Bronco (four-door models excluding the Bronco Raptor). For other vehicles, our universal Seat Mount and roll bar brackets offer flexible installation options.
The best location is somewhere within easy reach of the driver or a passenger, such as on the roll bar, center console area, or under the seat using our Seat Mount. Avoid mounting in areas that are difficult to access quickly or exposed to excessive heat. If you are running two extinguishers, consider one in the cabin and one in or near the engine bay for maximum coverage.
