While dry chemical fire extinguishers leave behind a powdery residue that is hard to clean and can damage electronics, this HalGuard® PRO 1.25 lb. (2.3 lb. gross weight) Halon car fire extinguisher uses a clear extinguishing agent that does not interfere with vision and will not leave a residue after use. It is twice as powerful as the impressive HalGuard® HG100, and like all of our extinguishers, it's UL-Listed, fully rechargeable, and backed by a 6-year warranty.

Luckily we haven’t needed to use it, and to be honest we haven’t even installed it yet as we still need to redo a big harness from the fire that got us to the point of learning why Halon 1211 is preferred over anything else. But it looks great, and the mount is decent enough to be used, though we still have a quick connect for this nice extinguisher. But the gunmy bears were AWESOME and customer service has been phenomenal. These guys want to do a good job.

The standard mount is also used in Aviation so it is quite sturdy. However, if you require a quick release we have some fanastic options, both the Extreme Duty and ProLock are popular with our off-road customers and are super secure while with lighting quick access.
